The transfer saga surrounding Victor Osimhen is far from over, as his agent has debunked reports of a potential loan move to Chelsea.
Osimhen’s future at Napoli remains a hot topic, with conflicting reports swirling around the Super Eagles striker, one of which previously linked the striker with a transfer move to French side Paris Saint-Germain.
On Tuesday morning, The Athletic reported that the 25-year-old could join Chelsea on a season-long loan with an option to buy. This move would benefit both clubs, as it would allow Romelu Lukaku to reunite with Antonio Conte.
Despite being left out of Napoli’s pre-season games, which indicates a likely departure from Napoli, clubs have balked at his reported release clause of €120 million.
What Victor Osimhen’s agent said
While the idea of a loan seemed like a sensible solution, Osimhen’s agent, Roberto Calenda, has categorically denied this option.
“I read about ‘fantasy exchanges’ with Victo as if he was a package to be delivered quickly.
“This package is the top scorer of the third Scudetto in the history of Napoli. Respect and stop fake news!,” Calenda said.

Whether a move to Chelsea will materialize this summer remains uncertain. However, with the Blues eager to offload Lukaku, a compromise could be possible.
Osimhen, who netted 17 goals in all competitions for Napoli last season despite injury struggles, would undoubtedly be an upgrade for most European teams.
