Manchester United have reached an agreement with Bayern Munich to sign defender Matthijs De Ligt, after the injury to Leny Yoro.
United have sought to strengthen their defense this summer following the departure of Raphael Varane, with Harry Maguire’s future looking uncertain.
Leny Yoro injury and De Ligt’s potential addition

The Red Devils signed 18-year-old Leny Yoro from Lille for £52 million, but the 18-year-old will miss three months of action due to a foot injury he sustained during the preseason.
De Ligt has been strongly linked with a move to Manchester, and now they have moved a step closer to striking a deal.

The Red Devils and Bayern Munich have agreed on a £38.5 million initial deal, with an additional £4.2 million in add-ons, to acquire the Dutch defender, according to reports from The Sun.
The center back won the Dutch championship with Ajax before making a switch to Juventus in 2019, where he won the Serie A.
De Ligt joined Bayern in 2022 after making 117 appearances in Italy, and he also won the Bundesliga with the German giants.
However, De Ligt is set to be offloaded by the six-time European champions.
The Red Devils have also made progress with the signing of full-back Noussair Mazraoui, who is also set to leave Alianz Arena this summer.

Bayern also accepted a separate £16.8 million offer from United for Mazraoui, making it a double deal totaling nearly £60 million.
