Fulham former defender John Paintsil has been involved in a terrible car accident that would have cost him his life.
Now 43, Paintsil is currently the assistant manager of the Ghana national team.
The accident occurred while he was travelling back to Accra with Ghana’s head coach, Otto Addo, and goalkeeping coach, Fatawu Dauda, after attending a national cup final in Tarkwa.
Serious Collision with a Pickup Truck
In a video shared by General Entertainment Zone, the accident involved the coaches when they were in a Toyota Land Cruiser and had a nasty shunt with a pickup truck on the way back from Tarkwa.
Black Stars head coach Otto Addo and two of his assistant coaches, John Paintsil and Fatau Dauda, have survived a horrific accident.

The car used in the incident was an SUV, and it was badly damaged, with one side of the car caved and lacking wheels.
The extent of damage depicted in the pictures of the wrecked car makes the crash seem all the more severe.
Safe Recovery and Ongoing Medical Checks
All three coaches were taken to a hospital in Takoradi for treatment as soon as the accident happened.
Fortunately, they are in stable condition but will be subjected to other tests at the hospital in Accra.
The Ghana Football Association confirmed the incident and further explained that the coaching staff would be offered adequate support before they continue with their work regarding the national team.
