‘Thank you for bringing me peace’- Emotional Osimhen appreciates Galatasaray president following traumatic end to Napoli stint

Victor Osimhen reportedly had a one-on-one meeting with Galatsaray predident Dursun Özbek, where he expressed appreciation for what could be described as a ‘career-saving’ transfer to the club.
Osimhen recently secured a loan move to the Turkish side after a dramatic transfer window, having seen his intended move away from Napoli crumble on deadline day.
The striker had expressed his desire to leave Napples over the summer, but all efforts to see his move materialize proved futile.
Osimhen transfer saga

A deadline-day move to Saudi Arabian club Al Ahli and Premier League side Chelsea collapsed, with the reasons later revealed by Sports Buddy.
Having burned bridges with Napoli, after making an attempt to force his way out of the club, the Nigerian would then be exiled from Antonio Conte’s squad.
This left the Osimhen facing the prospect of being sidelined from club football until at least January, following the closure of the summer transfer window.
However, Galatasaray came knocking with a season-long loan proposal, a career-saving offer that saw the former Lille man join the Turkish champions.
Since his highly celebrated move to the Istanbul-based outfit, Osimhen has contributed to three goals in each of his three games, including an assist in the Europa League against PAOK, last time out.
Osimhen appreciates Galatsaray president

Osimhen, who appears to be enjoying life at his new club, during a meeting with Galatasaray president Özbek, expressed gratitude for the get-away transfer deal.
“Thank you very much for transferring me. I am very happy and peaceful here. I am glad you transferred me, President,” the reigning African Men’s Player of the year said via Fanatik.

Having yet to open his goal-scoring account with the Asian, the prolific striker will now look to prove his appreciation on the field with goals, and this weekend’s home game against Kasimpasa, presents the right opportunity to do so.
