Ahmed Musa and Shehu Abdullahi are back in the Nigeria Premier Football League and have both signed a short-term contract with four time Champions, Kano Pillars.
Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa last played for Sivvaspor in the Turkiye Super Lig, and departed at the end of his two-year contract this summer.
The 31-year-old shared a tweet a few weeks ago on which local club in Nigeria should he join. There were lots of suggestions made by fans to the 2013 AFCON winner, but he has chosen to join his former club Kano Pillars for a third stint.

Shehu Abdullahi, who was a teammate to Musa in the national team has also returned to the Nigerian top-flight league with Kano Pillars, where he played before moving abroad in 2014. He last signed a contract with Bulgarian side Levski Sofia in the summer of 2022.

Kano Pillars confirmed snapping up the duo, as well as one Nazir Laja ahead of their gamweek five meeting with Sunshine Stars of Akure in the Mohammed Diko Stadium in Katsina on Sunday.
Kano Pillars finished eleventh in the NPFL last season and has picked up four points from as many games this season. Usman Abdallah will hope the talent and experience of the duo can help project the team to greater heights this season.
