Remo Stars has won their two away games this season, and the target on Sunday will be making it three, which will see them set a new club record of most consecutive league wins away from home in the NPFL.
Daniel Ogunmodede’s men equaled their record of two straight away wins in their 2-0 success over Kano Pillars on their last away trip, having already picked up maximum points on the road to Abia Warriors in Matchday one.
The record of two straight away win was achieved in the 2022-23 season, thanks to victories in the Southwest derby against Sunshine Stars and another one at Gombe United.
Remo Stars however will have to buckle up if they are to take the three points in Kwara, where they’ve never won against Sunday’s host in the league’s history.
The Ikenne Sky Blues will also have to do it without their star midfielder Alex Oyowah, who has been sidelined for two weeks following his muscle injury sustained in the win Enugu Rangers last Sunday.
They can take courage from the fact that the host has been at their weakest, with a record of one loss and one draw in their two home games this season.
