Arsenal have reportedly initiated discussions with Napoli regarding a possible move for Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, who is currently making waves on loan at Galatasaray.

The Gunners are considering bolstering their attacking line-up in the upcoming transfer window, and Osimhen’s impressive form has caught their attention, alongside interest from other European giants.

Napoli Sets Terms for Osimhen Transfer

According to Turkish outlet Sabah, Napoli’s sporting director Giovanni Manna has set a clear starting price for Osimhen, demanding €75 million (£64.5 million) for the 24-year-old, with a minimum upfront payment of €25 million (£21.5 million) as a prerequisite to enter negotiations.

This substantial valuation underscores the high regard Napoli holds for Osimhen, potentially eliminating Turkish clubs from contention due to the financial constraints of the league.

Osimhen has already contributed eight goals and four assists in nine appearances for Galatasaray, showcasing his continued upward trajectory.

While Arsenal are keenly monitoring Osimhen’s availability, other clubs, including Newcastle United, Chelsea, and Saudi side Al Hilal, have expressed interest. Fenerbahce, meanwhile, have also explored options, with sporting director Mario Branco reportedly reaching out to Manna to gauge Napoli’s terms.

However, Napoli’s hefty asking price and required upfront payment may limit the Turkish club’s pursuit, leaving Premier League clubs and Al Hilal as more viable contenders.

Mikel Arteta is eager to enhance Arsenal’s offensive options, and Osimhen, with his strength, speed, and clinical goal-scoring abilities, aligns well with the profile Arteta seeks.

His potential addition could complement Arsenal’s current setup, offering an alternative to Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah. However, securing Osimhen would require substantial financial commitment from Arsenal, considering Napoli’s terms.
