Speaking in his first interview as a Chelsea player, Garnacho described the move as a defining moment in his career.

“It is an incredible feeling to join this amazing club and I can’t wait to start playing,” he said. “This is a bigger step for my career. The situation of the club means this is a good move for me, and I am hoping it goes well.”

Childhood Connection and Idol

Garnacho also revealed that his admiration for Chelsea stretches back to his childhood. Old photos of him wearing Chelsea’s training kit have resurfaced online, reinforcing his connection to the club. He admitted that his love for former Blues star Eden Hazard played a major role in shaping his desire to one day wear the Chelsea shirt.

“I used to watch Chelsea a lot growing up, obviously because I loved Eden Hazard,” Garnacho added.

Enzo Influence and What’s Next

The winger also disclosed that he sought advice from his Argentine teammate Enzo Fernández before finalizing the move. According to Garnacho, their conversations gave him extra confidence about the future at Stamford Bridge.

“I spoke with Enzo before making the decision, and we’re both excited about what we can achieve here,” he said.

Garnacho is expected to make his Chelsea debut after the international break, when the Blues travel to face Brentford at the Gtech Community Stadium.
