MANUEL UGARTE: Manchester United Prepares Favourite Shirt Number For Uruguayan After Agreeing Personal Terms

Manchester United are interested in the services of Manuel Ugarte who currently plays for PSG as Erik ten Hag eyes the 23-year-old midfielder.

Fabrizio Romano has reported that the negotiations over the contract have reached an understanding of personal terms while the discussions with the club are still active.

Ugarte’s Potential Shirt Numbers

Ugarte has adopted jersey number 4 at PSG. Sofyan Amrabat, who donned the number 4 last season, has gone back to Fiorentina, which creates an opportunity for a fresh defensive midfielder like Ugarte.

According to a recent report from SportsBuddy, Manchester United tried to hijack Aston Villa’s Amadou Onana move but the plan was unsuccessful. 

Also, the No. 25 kit which Ugarte dorns for Uruguay may be left free if Jadon Sancho, who has an uncertain status at Old Trafford, leaves before the end of the transfer window.

The transfer is facilitated by Jorge Mendes, Ugarte’s agent. Mendes has a long-standing business association with Manchester United as he has been brokering his clients to the club for several seasons

Despite the fact that United failed to qualify for the Champions League, Ugarte is still willing to join the Red Devils. Should the transfer go through, Ugarte will be the third arrival at Old Trafford this summer after the club recently confirmed the arrival of Joshua Zirkzee and Leny Yoro to the club.

Ugarte could possibly get a familiar and large shirt number at Old Trafford, making his move even more appealing.
