Fans have singled out one player following a 1-0 defeat in the Super Falcons’ opening group match against Brazil at the Paris 2024 Olympics.

Randy Waldrum’s side started brightly but the Falcons failed to bury their chances in the final third.

Brazil fans had cause to jubilate when veteran forward Marta found Gabi Nunes in the box, who rocketed her shot past Chiamaka Nnadozie to give the South Americans the lead in the 37th minute, with the score-line remaining unchanged until the final whistle.

Following the defeat to Brazil, fans reacted on social media as they singled out Michelle Alozie.

Alozie, who, in a Q & A session with fans, expressed her desire to date a fellow athlete, according to  Sports Buddy, participated in the entire 90 minutes of the match on Thursday.
