Online footage appears to show the footballer being escorted to safety following the alleged incident.
The thieves, who were on a motorcycle, threatened Neres with a gun as he left his car, forcing him to surrender his watch.
While the exact value of the watch is unknown, the thieves fled the scene with it, according to reports from The Sun.
The Brazilian winger was traveling with his wife, but fortunately, neither of them were injured.
