The Swedish court has made a decision on Kylian Mbappé’s rape case.

The French attacker was accused of rape during his trip to Stockholm during an international break earlier this season. Reports of an investigation involving a hotel where he stayed sparked speculation in the Swedish media.

However, Mbappé and his legal team dismissed the claims as “slanderous,” firmly denying any involvement, citing a lack of concrete evidence.

The French captain revealed in a recent interview that he was as surprised as everyone else by the accusations while asserting his innocence.

Now, reports from Football Tweet on X have confirmed that all accusations against the 25-year-old attacker have been dropped due to insufficient evidence.

The report read:

“The accusations against Kylian Mbappé for rape in Sweden have been DROPPED.

”The Swedish justice system has announced that the case has been abandoned due to a lack of evidence.”

Meanwhile, the former Paris Saint-Germain forward recently opened up about his closely guarded personal life, including his alleged past relationship with a transgender ex-girlfriend.

On the field, Mbappé seems to be regaining form, having scored in back-to-back games for Real Madrid after a challenging week in which he missed two penalties in the span of four days.

However, he is currently sidelined with a thigh injury sustained during Madrid’s Champions League clash against Atalanta on Tuesday.
