Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher was at the receiving end of severe backlash from fans as he declined to shake hands with a black kid in the tunnel.
How it happened
This incident occurred in the tunnel as Chelsea players were getting ready to take the field for their match against Burnley. Gallagher was captured in a video shared on X, standing between two children who were supposed to escort Chelsea players onto the pitch—one white and the other black.

While both children extended their hands to shake the Chelsea midfielder’s hand, he chose to only shake the hand of the white child, leaving the black child’s hand hanging. Instead, he gave the black kid a pat on the back before turning away.
