There is tension in Chelsea’s dressing room as reports claim three players have unfollowed Enzo Fernandez after his involvement in racial chants directed towards French players of African descent.
Disasi Gusto, Fofana unfollow Enzo Fernandez

Axel Disasi, Malo Gusto, and Wesley Fofana—three French players on the team—have all unfollowed Fernandez on Instagram as of today.
Sports Buddy recently reported that Argentina national team players were involved in a racist scandal in which they racially abused tri-national star Kylian Mbappe and other players of the French national team, following their side’s victory against Colombia in the Copa America final.
A video that circulated on social media captured Argentine players chanting a song written by their fans during the 2022 World Cup in Qatar in an Instagram live video by Fernandez.
“They play for France but come from Angola, they are going to run well, they like to *** trans people, their mother is Nigerian, their father Cameroonian, but on the passport, they are French,” the players sang as they journeyed back home.
French Football Federations condemns footage

Many have condemned the video, as it is being labeled as a racist act.
“Football in 2024: uninhibited racism,” Fofana also wrote on Twitter.
An official statement has also been released by the French Football Federation (FFF) via President Philippe Diallo, who condemned the footage and vowed to file a complaint with FIFA.
