Following a recent heartbreaking update, Arsenal fans have begged the club to sell Japanese defender Takhehiro Tomiyasu.
The club confirmed that Tomiyasu will not be traveling with the rest of the team to the United States as he will remain in London to receive treatments after picking up an injury.
Meanwhile, Scottish defender Kieran Tierney is also sidelined for the tour due to a hamstring injury he picked up during the Euro 2024 tournament.
Arsenal fans fume over Tomiyasu and Tierney’s injury problems
This news has left fans fuming on social media, though, even calling for Tomiyasu to be sold, according to reports from The Sun.
One wrote, “Are those two just permanently injured?”
Another commented, “Time to sell him, he can’t stay fit.”
A third remarked, “This guy is made of glass.”
Tomiyasu missed thirteen games for Arsenal the previous season due to two calf problems.
Since joining from Bologna in 2021, the 25-year-old has struggled with injuries on multiple occasions.
Tierney, on the other hand, spent the previous season on loan at Real Sociedad, having struggled with fitness for a large part of his time with the Gunners.
The 27-year-old left back featured for the Spanish club 26 times before representing Scotland in the Euro 2024, where he prematurely left camp after suffering a hamstring injury against Switzerland, as previously reported by Sports Buddy.
