During an interview with Sevilla’s club website, he stated, “One day, Wilfred Ndidi, Daniel Amartey, and I were walking; they began calling me ‘Senior Man. We laughed and recorded some videos, and gradually, everyone started using the name.”

Embracing New Opportunities

Iheanacho signed for the seven-time Europa League champions after his Leicester City contract ended on June 30.

While several clubs were interested in the Nigerian forward, Sevilla was his preferred destination.

When being asked about his transfer to Sevilla, he responded that there were many offers from various clubs, but Sevilla clearly knew what they wanted from me and why they signed me.

Looking at the environment and the performance of the Sevilla, I knew that this is where I wanted to be and I am ready to take up this challenge.

He is the second Nigerian to sign for the Andalusian team this summer after Chidera Ejuke.
