Bayern Munich have reached a full agreement with Chelsea to sign Senegalese striker Nicolas Jackson on an initial loan deal. The one-year loan comes with a €15 million fee, while the Bavarian giants will also have an option, not an obligation, to make the deal permanent for a package worth €80 million.
As reported by Sport buddy, Manchester United and Chelsea were contemplating on a swap deal involving Alejandro Garnacho and Nicolas Jackson.
Chelsea have also secured a sell-on clause in the agreement, meaning they will benefit financially if Bayern decide to trigger the purchase option in 2026.
Player Set to Travel
According to Fabrizio Romano, Jackson is expected to travel to Bavaria later today alongside his agent, Ali Barat from Epic Sports, to complete medical tests and finalize paperwork. All terms between the two clubs have been settled, marking the end of talks that moved quickly in the final days of the transfer window.
Bayern’s Big Attacking Boost
The 23-year-old forward, who joined Chelsea in 2023, has shown flashes of brilliance in the Premier League but has struggled for consistency in front of goal. Bayern Munich see him as a strong addition to their attacking options, particularly with their desire to bolster depth ahead of a long season competing domestically and in Europe.
The move also highlights Bayern’s strategy of bringing in young, high-potential forwards who can be molded into long-term stars. If Jackson adapts well in the Bundesliga, the Bavarians could consider making the deal permanent.
